IJLA teamed with Cal Poly Pomona's School of Landscape Architecture students on a project designed to promote clarity in what we mean when we say "multi-benefit" and "integrated". These terms can be abstract terms that are, in actuality, pretty intuitive when visualized.  The Coalition is grateful to Professor Barry Lerhman's LA 4781 Urban Green Infrastructure students for creating renderings that illustrate conceptual multi-benefit and integrated projects. Students chose from a variety of pre-approved locations, such as an underutilized greenway and a derelict oil field, as a specific location from which to launch their ideas on how to improve the space while integrating natural, green elements. All in all, LA 4781 students delivered some great examples of infrastructure sectors aligning and intersecting in a single project, and in the context of climate resilience. Check them out here.
