It’s time to bring transformative infrastructure to all Angelenos.

With the right approach, we can shape regional infrastructure development to promote better neighborhoods with the same neighbors by uplifting multiple-benefit projects that are built for a changing climate.

We are in an unprecedented time. Existing infrastructure is aging out and climate change is dramatically impacting our society. Funding from federal, state and local funds, while not sufficient to meet these needs, can be leveraged to reimagine our built environment- particularly in communities who have faced historic disinvestment.

The Approach

Our Coalition promotes development that achieves complimentary goals in a single project. We believe that multifunctionality represents an improvement over conventional, single-purpose infrastructure. These are projects “greater than the sum of their parts” offering a better quality of life for humans and nonhuman residents in urban environs. As such, multi-benefit projects can achieve an excellent return on investment.

The Coalition works at the nexus of:

  • Water

Clean water, urban run-off, stormwater management, water conservation

  • Housing

    Low income/affordable housing

  • Parks

Development of new parks in park poor communities, tree canopy, access to nature and nature-based solutions

  • Transit

    Transit, active transportation, greenways
